Presenting my mum with a portrait of her beloved dog wasn't the first time I'd made her cry, but it was the first with tears of happiness! We'd lost our dog, Chelsea, the previous year and I wanted something special to show my mum that we hadn't forgotten.
The artist (Danielle) really listened as I explained the look I hoped to achieve. I sent loads of photos to give her an idea of Chelsea's character and the type of pose I wanted or didn’t want for it. Danielle also suggested the size and background that would work best.
I was truly amazed at the likeness Danielle had achieved. The colours were a perfect replication of the photos provided and the textures created by the oils brought the picture to life in a way I didn't imagine possible. I can not over-emphasise how amazing my portrait is. It delighted my mum and helped to bring back her memories of Chelsea.
Ria Stanyer
Chelsea was a beautiful dog and a joy to paint! She was created in oil paints on a large 300mm x 400mm (12" x 16") canvas
base. The landscape background shown here comes as standard, if however you would
like something of specific meaning to you and your dog, special requirements
can be requested. please contact us
to discuss your ideas.
Ria really had a particular vision in mind for her dog portrait. She sent several images pointing out the relevance of each. Ria's mums favourite photo was
included which set the pose for the portrait but Ria had a favourite face and body photograph.
Inspiration was taken from both images to create a very special portrait for the Stanyer family to remember the lovely Chelsea!
We understand that sometimes when new photographs are not possible for whatever
reason, you may want to combine your favourite parts from different images.
We are more than happy to taylor your portrait as we really want you to be
absolutely delighted with the results! Please contact
